Yellowstone Lower Loop Tour (April – October)
If this is your only day in Yellowstone, our private Yellowstone day tour through the Lower Loop is the one most first-time visitors are picturing. The Yellowstone Lower Loop tour covers the southern half of the park, which has the highest concentration of geysers and hot springs anywhere on Earth, including Old Faithful itself.
A typical Old Faithful tour day looks like this. We time the eruption window so you also walk the Biscuit Basin and Black Sand Basin boardwalks before the parking lot fills. Then we drive north to the Fairy Falls overlook for the Grand Prismatic tour view that gets all the photos.
The route also runs through the Hayden Valley wildlife corridor, where bison herds, grizzlies, coyotes, and the occasional wolf pack hunt along the river. We finish at the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone for the Lower Falls and Artist Point overlooks, then head back to your pickup spot by evening.

Yellowstone Upper Loop Wildlife Tour
Serious wildlife watchers usually skip the geyser loop and ask for our Yellowstone Upper Loop wildlife tour by name. The northern half of the park has open valleys, dawn-to-dusk animal movement, and predator activity you don't see on the geyser side. Our naturalist guides also know which stretches have been active in the last day or two from radio chatter and ranger reports.
We're usually in Lamar Valley by sunrise. Locals call it the Serengeti of North America, and it's the heart of any Lamar Valley wolf tour. The Junction Butte and Rescue Creek packs hunt this valley, alongside grizzlies, black bears, bald eagles, pronghorn, and one of the largest free-ranging bison herds in the country. Bring a warm layer; the valley runs cold even in July.
Heading west, we stop at Tower Falls for the 132-foot drop into the Yellowstone River. Then on to the Mammoth Hot Springs tour highlight: the travertine terraces, Liberty Cap, and the elk herds that wander the historic Fort Yellowstone parade grounds. It's a quieter loop, and a favorite for photographers and families.

Private Yellowstone Tours are NON-REFUNDABLE if cancelled inside 14 days of travel date/time. Cancellation outside 14 days of travel date/time will be a 10% cancellation fee. Payment is required at the time of booking.
